About Profumum Roma

Profumum Roma, officially styled PROFVMVM ROMA, is a family-run Italian fragrance house founded in Rome in 1996. Its story begins with the Durante family, whose roots trace back to the small village of Sant’Elena Sannita before Celestino Durante and his wife, Luisa, built a new life in Rome.

That inherited spirit of craftsmanship later inspired the next generation of the Durante family to pursue perfumery on their own terms. Profumum Roma was created with a desire to move beyond convention and return fragrance to something more personal, expressive, and closely connected to memory.

Italian Life Captured in Fragrance

Profumum Roma draws inspiration from the landscapes, flavours, and everyday pleasures of Italy. Rather than building its fragrances around elaborate stories, the house often focuses on a vivid place, ingredient, or sensory moment and explores it with remarkable depth.

The four fragrances available through Petit Parfums capture two contrasting sides of the collection. Acqua Viva and Acqua di Sale evoke the Mediterranean through brilliant Amalfi lemon, sea air, salt, aromatic vegetation, and dry woods. Dulcis in Fundo and Confetto explore a more indulgent side of Italian life through citrus-filled pastries, Madagascar vanilla, almond, anise, amber, and confectionery sweetness.

Together, they move from bright and windswept to warm and enveloping, offering four distinct interpretations of Italian atmosphere and pleasure.
